Mangalore, Sep 29: A run was organized on the occasion of World Heart Day, by KMC Hospital in the city on Sunday September 28. The event was a grand success with thousands participating in the event.
The mega run was flagged-off by deputy commissioner Maheshwar Rao from KMC Bejai on Sunday morning. Cardiologists Dr Padmanabha Kamath, Dr Yousuf Kumble, Dr M N Bhat, and Dr Narasimha Pai, lit the torch. The run covered Lalbagh, and PVS circle before concluding at KMC Hospital, Ambedkar circle.
The event was fun-filled, entertaining, and educating. It was successful in driving home the message about being physically and mentally fit at all times, despite time constraints. Various prizes were awarded to the participants for their stamina, endurance, and overall efforts.
