Udupi: Outgoing priest Fr Romeo Lewis of Perampalli church felicitated

Udupi, Jun 8: Fr Romeo Lewis was felicitated by the parishioners of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Perampalli on the verge of his transfer on June 6. Fr Romeo Lewis had served in Perampalli church for 11 years.

Fr Romeo Lewis was the main celebrant for the Eucharistic celebrations. A felicitation programme was held in the church auditorium. Pastrol committee vice-president, secretary, and convener of 18 commission felicitated Fr Romeo on behalf of the parishioners. As a token of gratitude, a car was gifted to Fr Romeo by the parishioners.



His selfless service and hard work to construct the new church was remembered on the occasion. His efforts to establish Trinity School in Perampalli were recalled by Fr Anil D’Costa, principal Trinity Central School, who honored Fr Romeo Lewis. Resident priest Fr Reginald Pinto shared his fruitful experience with Fr Romeo Lewis.

Fr Romeo also expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards parishioners, donors and all of them who had helped him while serving in Perampalli.

Denis Furtado, vice president, pastoral committee, Rosy Pinto, secretary Sr Lenita D’Souza, Sr Judith Lewis, Jessy Pinto and large number of parishioners were present.
