Mangaluru Jun 6: South West Teachers’ constituency independent candidate Basavarajappa K C requested voters to elect him during the upcoming MLC elections.

Addressing media here on Wednesday, June 6, Basavarajappa K C said, "I have been closely connected to the teachers’ community and to the field of education and social service for the last 25 years. So I urge voters to elect me in the upcoming elections. Teachers are striving hard in the society for the development of resources. They are facing several problems including promotion and also differentiation in pay scale.



“I have decided to contest the elections to help teachers solve their problems. I will strive hard to bring relief to the problems faced in the teaching field with the help of my colleagues,” he said.

Renowned Kannada writer Na D’Souza urged the teachers’ community to give first preference for Basavarajappa K C and vote him to victory.

Basavarajappa K C released his election manifesto.

Vijayamma, and Prof Chandra Shekar were present.
