Chamarajanagar, Jun 4: Head teacher of the government higher primary school at Christaraja Balarapattana near here stands suspended by the school management committee for causing loss of eyesight of a student. The head teacher, Yoseph, has been accused of hitting a student with a scale and causing injury to his left eye, which took away his eyesight.
Parents of a seventh standard student of the said school had filed complaint in the town police station on the night of Saturday June 2, accusing the head teacher of the school of hitting their son, Girimallesh, with a scale and causing loss of his eyesight. A case had thereafter been registered in the police station.
Taking stern view of this development, deputy commissioner of the district, Kaveri, has ordered block education officer to conduct an inquiry and file a report on the incident immediately.
