Gangrape: MP cops to arrive in Goa


Margao, May 28 (TOI): A team of police from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, is likely to arrive in Goa, in connection with the arrest of the three persons from Indore who are accused of raping a woman at Betalbatim beach.

One of the accused, Ishwar Makran, is wanted by the Indore police and carries a reward of Rs 50,000 on him. Police suspect Makran is the prime accused in the murder of a teenage couple in Nakudi Kund waterfalls in Madhya Pradesh in November 2017.

Goa police on Saturday arrested Sanjeev Dhananjay Pal, 25, a teacher by profession, from Karmali railway station, while the other two accused, Ram Santosh Bhariya, 24, and Makran, 24, were arrested from Margao bus stand and Margao railway station, respectively.
