Mangaluru, May 3: In a historic achievement, out of 909 students of Expert PU College who wrote JEE (mains) 2018, 312 have qualified for JEE-Advanced. Chairman of the institution Prof Narendra L Nayak congratulated all the achievers and wished them greater success in the coming exams.
As many as 10.74 lac students wrote JEE (mains) 2018 in the country and 2.31 lac students are eligible to write JEE-Advanced. These 2.31 lac students will compete for 11,000 seats in the advanced test.

Jee (mains) is the entrance examination to get entry in the prestigious National Institutes of Technology (NIT) in India. In NITK at Suratkal, 50% seats are available for the students of Karnataka and the students who qualified in JEE Main are eligible for admission at NITs and to write JEE-Advanced. It may be recalled that 18 students of Expert College have been selected for the prestigious fellowship.
