Raichur: Pramod Muthalik asks PM Modi to explain stand on Iftar meet at Krishna Math

Raichur, Apr 30: Sri Ram Sene convenor Pramod Muthalik has lashed out at the BJP for its 'double standard' in protecting the interest of Hindus. He sought PM Modi’s stand on Iftar meet which was organised at Krishna Math by Sri Vishweshwara Swamiji of Sri Krishna Math in Udupi.

Speaking to media persons, Muthalik said that Modi should clarify on the Swamiji's decision to host Iftar meet at Sri Krishna Math. "The BJP, the Congress and the JD(S) appease Muslims to get votes. They have never protected the interests of Hindus," he added saying that the voters must support either Shiv Sena or any other party which works for Hindus. "If the candidates are not in favour of Hindus, voters must opt for NOTA, he added.

He lashed out at the BJP for mistreating Praveen Togadia and sending him out of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. "The BJP is keeping Ram Mandir issue alive to get votes during elections. They sent out Togadia from VHP for questioning BJP's commitment to the construction of Ram Mandir," he said.

Muthalik said that the BJP did not field any candidate from Raichur constituency. "They brought Dr Shivraj Patil from the JD(S) and gave the ticket. The Congress candidate Syed Yasin who was an MLA twice did nothing for Hindus. He developed only Masjids, Madarasas and Muslim burial grounds. The JD(S) candidate is anti-national since he is supported by MIM. So voters must support Shiv Sena candidate Rajachandra," he said.

Shiv Sena has fielded a total of 40 candidates and Muthalik said that atleast 5 of them will win in assembly polls.
