Mangaluru, Apr 30: AICC general secretary B K Hariprasad said that the upcoming state election which has created enough curiosity is a fight between the ideologies of Mahatma Gandhiji and Nathuram Godse.
Addressing media here on Monday April 30, B K Hariprasad said, "In the year 2013, Congress wrested power from BJP, while at the centre, BJP has been ruling since 2014. If you compare between Modi-led central government and Siddaramaiah-led state government, there is a vast difference. The state government in the last five years has delivered its election promises, while the central government led by Modi has failed to do so.
"The Modi government has utterly failed in maintaining law and order. Women do not feel secure under this government. Law and order situation in BJP ruled state is horrifying. In the last 70 years, be it under Congress or BJP government, there were not more than 100 fake encounters. But in one year of Uttar Pradesh government led by CM Yogi Aditynath, the number has crossed over 1000.
"BJP is trying hard to gain back power in the state just to strengthen their government at the centre to change the constitution. Over 500 RSS workers are active in the state spreading false news. People should be aware of this and choose candidates looking at who can maintain peace and harmony in the society.
"BJP national president Amit Shah speaks about 24 murders in the state. He could never find the culprit behind former Gujarat minister Haren Pandya’s murder and was exiled from Gujarat over fake encounters. Namo Brigade leader Naresh Shenoy is involved in RTI activist Vinayak Baliga's murder and his close aide has been given the ticket to contest in the forthcoming elections. BJP has no belief in social justice as they did not give ticket to the suppressed one. What Krishna J Palemar had told is right," said B K Hariprasad.
District Congress president Harish Kumar, corporator Naveen D Souza and others were present.
