Riyadh, Apr 30: SAB Sports Academy presented SAQCO Karnataka Premier League season 3, powered by Whitestone, co-sponsored by Taibah Cavalry Est, Al Muzain, Allianz, Al Falah, Expertise, AHQ Rig Move, and Support Gulf for Transportation Est. Index International CC won against Travanco CC by 6 wickets in the Final.
SAQCO KPL Season 3 started on April 12 spread over four days for the league matches and the grand finale at the well-known Sabsa ground. Althaf Ullah of SAQCO was the chief guest for the finals. The winners took home SR 33,333 and the runners-up got SR 17,777.
SAB Sports Academy is owned by Salman who is promoting hard tennis ball cricket in the eastern region since many years. SAQCO KPL 3 had some entertaining matches in final week which was telecasted live on Youtube Channel 7070 Sports. It is the first time in history of Saudi Arabia that a tournament was telecasted live on youtube channel brining a new era in hard tennis ball cricket of Saudi Arabia.
Honda CC outplayed SAB Warriors once again in the tournament and this time in the quarterfinals by 16 runs. Batting first Honda CC managed to post good score of 75 in 7 overs. Ajmal scored 23 and Tahir scored 21 runs respectively. In reply, SAB Warriors managed to score 59. Kashif bowled an outstanding spell and Waseem Chaman caught the catch of the tournament.
Eastern Blue CC won against SASP CC by 7 wickets. Batting first SASPCC was restricted to 54 in 7 overs. Sajid grabbed 2 wickets. In reply, EBCC chased the target in 4.4 overs with Fawaz scoring 30 off 18.
Index International won against Honda CC in the semi finals. Batting first, HCC managed to score only 56 in 6 overs. Index International chased the target in 6 overs with Adil scoring 20 off 8 balls.
In another match, Travanco CC beat Eastern Blue CC by 5 runs. Batting first TCC posted a good total of 63 in 7 overs with Noman hitting 2 mighty sixes and Sajid bowling really well. In reply, EBCC was restricted to 58 runs with Dawood and Asaf bowling extremely well.
Index International CC won against Travanco CC by 6 wickets in the final. Batting first, TCC managed to score only 49 runs in 7 overs. Adil bowled a fantastic spell. In Reply, Index CC chased the target in 6 overs. Adil was adjudged the Man of the Series.
Althaf Ullal and Salman did the honors to give the trophy to the winners and the runners-up.
Sadik was thanked specially for takeing hard ball tennis to another level in Saudi Arabia.
