Udupi: Three dead as tempo carrying pandal for Modi prog meets with accident

Udupi, Apr 29: Three labourers lost their lives when the Eicher tempo that was carrying the tarpauline for the pandal to be put for the programme of Prime Minister Modi at Udupi met with an accident near Perdoor on the morning of Sunday, April 29.

The deceased have been identified as the natives of Assam. Their identities are yet to be known.

This tempo was carying the Pandal for the programme of prime minister Modi that is supposed to take place on May 1 at MGM College grounds here.

The tempo was coming from Chitradurga and it hit the electric pole by the side of the road due to the negligence of the driver.

There were 10 to 12 labourers in the tempo. One person died on the spot. Two people succumbed to the injuries while they were being transported to the hospital. Other injured are admitted to the hospital. Hiriyadka police have arrived at the spot and are conducting the inquiry.

    PM can't be blamed here. No way. Don't give such cheap comments and stoop to the level of his troll army who has already disgraced our mother land.
    It's total drivers mistake, but we can blame the system of providing license and roads and safety rules implementation. Previous governments are equally responsible for overall system of roads and it's safety.

    Very sad that workers from Assam were killed in the accident. Jaimini P.B., Manipal,Sharjah what do you think sitting in Sharjah you can say that Sharjah is developed it is only a village. If there is a good rain only for a day or two the roads are flooded and vehicle cannot move that's the state of Sharjah. In fact Mangalore is better than Sharjah. Even Gujarat is not heaven and what good as Modi done in Gujarat. You will not have any place better than Mangalore in Gujarat. What do you think Jaimini P.B., Manipal,Sharjah that Siddu will loose no chance.

    This is the irony of ourselves. Let's discard politics but think about those unfortunate ones who lost their lives n their bereaved family. Who knows they might have been the breadwinners to their families who now can hardly b comforted. Let's remember these in our prayers.

    PM Modi is scheduled to give election speech on May 1st in Udupi after long silence on rapes in 'Kathua' and 'Unnnao'.
    The Indian Medical Association (IMA) today expressed disappointment over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's reported remarks in London last week about alleged nexus between doctors and pharma companies, saying his comments brought disrepute to doctors in India.
    Now on his way to Udupi were many thousand Doctors graduate to serve India but alumni like Mohandas Pai of Manipal academy a staunch supporter of BJP is silence on this comment which lowered the dignity of the profession of Indians abroad.
    When rapes are increased each year under his leadership, canvassing for BJP candidate against whom his own wife mysterious death is still pending and after the death of his wife found in CD Sex sleaze.
    Do Udupi need candidate with tainted image which PM Modi coming for his support?
    Do PM Modi 'Beti Bachao' is warning for the Udupi residence by openly canvassing for candidate with tarnish image?
    This accident is nothing but warning from Udupi Shri Krishna and "BAD OMEN".

    Amit all we can do is pray for the ignorant leaders for thier betterment. They will lie to the poor and drain the blood so much and make rich person take everything away from poorest of the poor and promise many lakhs deposits. I feel so much pain when poor die but these politicians has no shame. Their suits are cost many lakhs but poor people not even have a meal to eat money.     First, my condolence towards the family members of the deceased.

    When you are talking about culture, be aware that I have watched a video myself in which Mr. Modi credited himself for very low crude oil prices since he became PM. ( it's other thing that benefits were not at all transferred to the common people of the country who are paying very high prices for petrol and diesel since then)

    Excuse me if I am wrong to bring politics into this news of death instance. I am compelled to give my opinion when I see something not right.
