Mangaluru: NRI Nilan Karkera (30), in hometown to visit parents, dies of cardiac arrest

Mangaluru, Apr 27: In a tragic news, a young NRI who was visiting his parents here passed away due to cardiac arrest on Friday April 27.

Neal Nilan Karkera (30) of Jyothinagar, Kulshekar passed away on Friday morning.

Son of Ashok Karkera and Neetha Karkera, Nilan was employed in the Gulf. He was scheduled to travel to Belgium next week, and had come down to meet his parents prior to his visit to the European nation.

Apart from parents, he is survived by his wife Divya, whom he married a year ago, and his brother Nikhil Karkera.

Sources said that his mother Neetha has been admitted to Father Muller hospital for kidney related ailment, and the news of her son's demise has not been broken to her yet.

The funeral will be held on Saturday April 28 at 9 am.

    Very tragic and sad.Still sad is his mother too is sick and dont know yet about loss of her son.Cant imagine what a shock she would get and her health.May God give her and family to bear the loss and heartfelt sympathy to them.Poor fellow he couldnt meet mother.May his soul rest in peace.
