Mangalore, Sep 5: During interrogation, the police officials have reportedly found that Karnataka Forum for Dignity (KFD) and Bajrangdal activists were involved in all the three stabbing incidents that took place last week at B C Road, Bajpe and Balmata in the city.
KFD workers were involved with the two incidents that occurred at B C Road and Bajpe on the same day while the Bajrangdal workers are to blame for the stabbing incident near Jyoti Circle, they say. The arrested persons are said to have revealed that it was decided to target tailor Bhaskar, at a meeting of KFD held at B C Road a month ago.
The assurance given by the district-in-charge minister that they are free to act as per law against those involved with disturbances, public nuisance, assault etc., without fearing for any political interference, has encouraged the policemen to act tough.
The accused are said to have revealed that they attacked Bhaskar as they strongly believed that he used to work as police informant about activities in the area and also because he was the only 'outsider' in Parlia area.
