Mangalore, Sep 5: Although the state High Court has granted bail to Atul Rao, prime accused in the case relating to the disappearance and death of Padmapriya, wife of Udupi MLA Raghupati Bhat on Tuesday September 2, his actual release may take a couple of days more.
As Wednesday was a holiday, the concerned could collect the copy of the court order on Thursday September 4. This copy has to be brought to Udupi and presented in the sessions court there. Thereafter, it needs to be forwarded to the in-charge of Mangalore sub-jail. From the sub-jail, the order will go to Atul who is recuperating at Sanjeevini Hospital here.
Eshwar Nayak, in-charge of the sub-jail here said that he has not received the bail order. Atul's wife Meera Rao has said that Atul might not return home immediately. The treatment for Atul's backache is continuing and it will take three more weeks for the Ayurvedic treatment being given to him to complete all procedures. He will come back only thereafter, she said.
