Mangalore, Sep 1: The members of the Corporation Bank Officers' Organization staged a protest against breach of agreement and policy decisions affecting the bank here on Monday September 1.
The organization said that major policy decisions affecting the bank and the offices are taken by the management without taking the organization into confidence and discussions held in bilateral forums have failed. Some of the branches are lacking proper infrastructure.
"The large numbers of branches opened in the recent past are functioning without minimum complement of staff as agreed and in some branches the staff posted have either resigned or transferred. This is affecting customer service and business growth. Management is on a branch opening spree to get publicity", they complained.
The organisation demanded resumption of dialogue process at the earliest saying in order to ensure better customer service and preserve industrial peace.
