Mumbai: Thiya Samaja celebrates Bisu Kani

Mumbai, Apr 16: Thiya Samaja of the city's western zone on the evening of April 15 celebrated its annual Bisu Kani at Siddivinayaka auditorium, Jogeswhwar east Bandrekarwadi . Chandrashekar Belchada, president of Thiya Samaja Mumbai conveyed his best wishes for the new year.

Former president of western zone regional committee Gangadhar Kallady performed rituals and distributed prasada to those present. Thiya Samaja president of the committee of trustees, Rohidas S Bangera lit the lamp.



T Babu Bangera of Thiya Samaja, vice president Sudhaker Uchil, honorary chief treasurer Ramesh N Ullal, Thiya Belaku editor Sridhar S Suvarna, western zone committee president Babu K Kotian, vice president Padmanabha Suvarna, secretary Chandrashekar Salian, western committee women's executive president Latha D Ullal, health fund committee president Divya R Kotian, east zone regional committee president Mohan B M, secretary Sagar Kateel, treasurer Nithyodaya Ullal, advocate Sadashiva B K, Chandrashekar K B, Sunder M Ail, treasurer Nithyodaya Ullal, Ramachandra Kotian, Ganesh M Uchil, Bhasker Kotian, Narayan Salian, M Ameen, Harish Kunder, Divija C Belchada, Sujatha Sudhaker Uchil, office bearers of central and zonal committee, members and Thiya community members were present.

The festival was celebrated in traditional, cultural and religious fervour. Thiya Bhajana Mandali sang bhajans, Gangadhar Kallady sang a prayer song and compered the programme.

Honorary chief secretary Ishwar M Ail welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks.
