Mangalore, Aug 29: The state government, through an order issued on Thursday, August 28, appointed eminent Yakshagana artiste and ex-MLA Kumble Sundar Rao as the president of Karnataka Yakshagana Academy.

with this, the process of appointing presidents and nominating members to various academies functioning the state, has begun. It is learnt, that appointments to various other academies will be made once the chief minister returns from 'AKKA' convention in USA.
