Mumbai, Feb 26: Billavara Association Mumbai women's wing on Sunday evening, February 25 inaugurated a unique programme 'Olume' (love) at Billava Bhavan Narayana Guru auditorium.
Kavita Sanil, mayor of Mangaluru accompanied by members of the association inaugurated the programme.
Bantara Sangha Mumbai women's wing executive president Ranjani Sudhaker Hegde and former president Jayanthi V Ullal were on the dais.
Senior littérateur of Mumbai, Dr Sunitha M Shetty chaired the discussion forum on 'woman of the future – anxiety and solution'.
Thia Samaja Mumbai's Divija Chandrashekar, Mogaveera monthly magazine editor Dr G P Kusuma, poetry awardee Anitha P Poojary Takode participated and presented their opinions.
Women members of various associations presented dances, music, Janapada songs and other entertainment.
Association vice president Raja V Salian, Dr U Dhananjay Kumar, Purushotham S Kotian, honorary chief secretary Mahesh C Karkal, Yuvabhyudaya committee head Nilesh Poojary Palimar, Billavaru Kudla's Uday Poojary and others were present.
Joint secretary Laxmi S Poojary, joint secretary Dr Geethanjali L Salian and hundreds of women were present.
Akshaya monthly magazine editor Harish Hejmady introduced the guests. Women's wing vice president Vilasini K Salian and Prabha K Bangera presented flower bouquets to the guests and honored them.
Association vice president Dharmapal G Anchan welcomed everyone, delivered the keynote address and compered the programme. Honorary chief secretary Sumitra S Bangera compered the cultural programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
