Oman, Feb 20: SARCO cricket team Muscat won the 10th edition of HCC winter Cup 2018 tournament organized by Holiday Cricket Club (HCC) AMERAT OCC ground as on February 16 the tournament being sponsored by Al Seeb Technical Est (SARCO), Oman Concrete Products (OCP), Ramniklal B Kothary (RBK) and co- sponsored by New Arsalan Restaurant, Ruwi.

As many as 16 teams participated in this tournament. The semifinal was played between SARCO and National Gas. It was very crucial match in which four runs were required by SARCO in two balls to qualify for the finals & Rakshit from SARCO hit a boundary and SARCO qualified the finals. In another semifinal, Pokiri defeated SS friends by nine runs to enter the finals. Sarco defeated Pokiri and won the finals.

Rakesh Patel of SARCO was selected as ‘Man of the Series’ and won the prize of Samsung 32” LED TV , Kartik of Pokiri was the ‘Best Batsman’ & maximum sixes of the tournament and won a Samsung Galaxy Smart Phone and Casio watches, and Pradeep Salian of SARCO was the best bowler of the tournament and won a Samsung Galaxy Smart Phone. Shabaz from SARCO was adjudged the best wicket keeper of the tournament, and young talented player of the tournament went to Sharat of Karkala friends who won Casio watches respectively.

The prize distribution was held after the final match by chief guests Ajay Ganti CEO of SARCO, Shanker Shetty, senior sales and marketing manager of OCP and Erappa, finance manager of OCP. President of Holiday Cricket Club Firosmohan welcomed the gathering rendered the vote of thanks.
