Mumbai, Feb 6: Bunts Association, Thane celebrated its tenth anniversary at Kashinath Ghanekar auditorium, Thane west.

SDPI College Kateel principal M Balakrishna Shetty, chief guest of the occasion lit the lamp and inaugurated the programme. Thane Bunts Association president Kushal C Bhandary chaired the programme. V K group's managing director Karunaker M Shetty, Vishwa Bantara Sangha federation president Aikala Harish Shetty and Karkala Congress leader Udaya Shetty Muniyal were the guests of honour.

Thane Majiwada area veteran social worker Ananda Shetty and Jayanti A Shetty couple and hotelier Diwaker Shetty were felicitated. Newly elected world Bantara Sangha federation Aikala Harish Shetty was honored. Amber Caterers Tulu film actor Saurabh Suresh Bhandary was presented with a flower bouquet and honored.

Members of women's and children's wing and children presented dances. Women's wing members performed 'Pugel Korandi Jokulu', farce written by Pramoda Mada and directed by Baba Prasad Arasa and 'Namadane Incha?' tulu drama written by Jayaprakash Mangalpadi and directed by Baba Prasad Arasa. Nithyananda Shetty Beluvayi compered the cultural programme.

Chitra Shetty and Jyothi Shetty sang a prayer song. Vice president Venugopal L Shetty welcomed the gathering. Treasurer Bhasker N Shetty and joint treasurer Chandrashekar S Shetty introduced the guests. Secretary Sunil J Shetty read the annual report. Women's wing president Sumathi Karunaker Shetty and youth wing president Ranjan R Shetty explained the women's wing and youth wing activities. Former president of women's wing Pramoda Mada and cultural division president Jaya Prakash Shetty read letters of felicitations. Kushala Shetty and Karnuru Mohan Rai compered the programme. Joint secretary Ashok M Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
