JBL Boombox Bluetooth speaker in India for Rs 34,990


Bengaluru, Feb 6 (IANS): Samsung Electronics Co. and HARMAN International on Tuesday launched the JBL Boombox portable Bluetooth speaker in India for Rs 34,990.

"JBL Boombox provides long-playing sound, setting the standard for power in all future portables in the industry. We are excited to give consumers in India yet another way to have a powerful audio experience, now in a portable package," Sumit Chauhan, Vice President - Lifestyle Audio Division, HARMAN India, said in a statement.

Weighing over 5.25 kg and nearly 20 inches long, it is the biggest portable speaker, the company said.

The speaker's large frame is equipped with four active transducers and two bass radiators that provide powerful sound and bass.

The device sports a hefty 20,000mAh battery that provides 24 hours of continuous playtime, the company claimed.

There is a dual charge out feature that lets users charge smart devices simultaneously while the music plays.

The portable speaker sports IPX7 rated waterproof design.

Boombox speaker can also be connected with over 100 JBL "Connect+" enabled speakers within Bluetooth range.

The device will be available at HARMAN's e-commerce platform, across various online and retail channels and also at 350 Samsung brand stores across the country.
