Udupi, Jan 26: District Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) Chalapathi faction’s honorary president Mohan Raj condemned organizing secretary John of KRV Narayana Gowda faction for posting derogatory comments on Tulu language and Tulunadu on social media.
Addressing media on Thursday, January 25, Mohan Raj said, “John should come to the coastal region and apologise in front of the public. His friends and supporters have already apologized on social media which the vedike has taken into consideration.
“Earlier too, people have insulted regional languages. Our Vedike will not tolerate such kinds of acts. KRV led by Chalapati is ready to fight at any level. The organization must be drop John and apologise in front of the public. If this does not happen, the vedike will hold massive protest,” he said.
Speaking on the bandh on Mahadayi issue, Mohan Raj said, “The Vedike will not support any bandh today. Politicians should not politicize Mahadayi dispute. No issue will get sorted out by bandh or boycott. Mahadayi belongs to all and does not belong to one party or one person.”
Adi Bhaskar, district president said, “The vedike will not support Karnataka bandh today. It is a politically motivated protest. The issue, which is at court, can be settled through negotiation, but simply pro-Kannada organizations are making it a big issue. The state government should not give permission to such unnecessary bandh which create problems for public.”
