Microsoft announces availability of Surface Book 2 in India


New Delhi, Jan 17 (IANS): Microsoft on Wednesday announced that its 2-in-1 detachable Surface Book 2 is coming to all Surface markets, including India.

Pre-orders for the 15-inch Surface Book 2 began on Wednesday in countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany and Britain.

"Later in the year, 13-inch and 15-inch Surface Book 2 will be rolled out to China, Hong Kong and India, among others," Microsoft wrote in a blog post on Wednesday.

The device delivers the processing and graphics power required to run demanding applications.

Featuring the latest 8th Gen Intel Core Processors and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and 1060 discrete graphics, it runs the high-performance applications, PC games and Windows Mixed Reality experiences easily.

Surface Book 2 also supports Surface Pen with tilt and 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity for inking as well as Surface Dial on-screen.

Like its predecessor, Surface Book 2 can instantly transform from a laptop to a digital canvas to a sleek tablet.

Surface Book 2 delivers up to 17 hours of battery life1 with the 15-inch version delivering up to five times more graphics performance than the original Surface Book.

Customers can also play latest PC games and pair Xbox Wireless controller as well as compatible headset with it.
