Bangalore: Congress Trying to Exploit Chinks in BJP Camp?

Political Correspondent - Daijiworld Media Network

Bangalore, Jul 22: Is Congress trying to pay back the BJP in the same coin? Political analysts are in the affirmative. It is gathered, that the Congress is trying to woo several BJP leaders, both old timers and the fresh ones, who are disillusioned and frustrated over the state unit's style of functioning. Congress party is said to be concentrating in the first phase, on the possibility of getting a few disgruntled BJP members of parliament(MP) to its side.

Several of the state's MPs are said to be worried over the increasing clout of the mining lords over the chief minister and the  state government, and the neglect with which they are being treated by B S Yeddyurappa who is said to have become autocratic and not willing to give them a patient hearing. The MPs who are feeling forlorn and directionless might cozy up to the Congress if it extends a hand of support, as these MPs are unsure of a political future in BJP, where their importance has been undermined.

Those who are undecided about their future moves and hence become vulnerable to being poached by the Congress are Udupi MP Manorama Madhwaraj who was in congress for long and joined the BJP after she was sidelined in that party, Bijapur MP Basavanagouda Yetnal who is not in good books of the state BJP leadership, Ramesh Jigajinagi and Manjuinath Kunnur who came from other parties and are yet to get a firm foothold in the BJP set up, and Mallikarjunaiah, old timer in the BJP, who is frustrated over his shrinking importance in the state BJP, are said to be unsure of the fruitfulness of continuing in BJP. Mallikarjunaiah is also reportedly anxious about the erosion his importance in the party  will suffer further, after Jaggesh joined BJP.

Retired police officer H T Sangliana, known for his honesty and straight forwardness too is reportedly unhappy over the working style of the state BJP. He was new to politics and could not digest the political maneuvres he has been witness to in BJP camp. All these MPs also are not confident of bagging tickets again for the next Loksbha election.

Mr Noel, That was an immature comment made by you.Is it going to help us if the govt topples? who is going to pay the price? We should hope that the BJP govt or any govt that is in power performs to its fullest capacity, and , we dont need to bother about the games the political parties play for power, and definitely no need to sympathise with an all time corrupt party like the Congress. If we citizens take a strong stand, then we can make a change and make these politicians do what they are supposed to do..

Dear Noel, Why do you want to "really see BJP govt go down" ? The need of hour is a stable govt. We have to keep our differences aside and support an elected govt so we have a stable leadership for this term. Otherwise, we all are going to lose as our state sinks to a new low.

I really want to see that sooner / later BJP govt. in Karnataka ditched by its own LOYAL!!! MLA's. You all remember during Dharam Singh govt. BJP played a dirty game alongwith JDS to topple cong. govt. Now BJP is digging its own grave. I bet you sooner Ananthkumar & Jagdish Shettar will topple Yudiurappa from top to bottom & next our lovely state Karnataka, one time 2nd in rank, will become worst that Bihar or very last due to this political uncertainity in our state.
