Mangaluru: Manjunath Bhandary and Dr Deviprasad Shetty made KPCC vice-president, secretary

Mangaluru, Dec 30: As per the orders of Rahul Gandhi, president of All India Congress Committee (AICC), Manjunath Bhandary and Dr Deviprasad Shetty Belapu have been appointed as vice-president and secretary of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) respectively. Dr G Parameshwar, president of KPCC has sent an order in this regard as per the recommendation of Janardhan Dwivedi, secretary of AICC.

Manjunath Bhandary has served as the most sincere activist of the Congress party for the last three and a half decades involving himself and contributing immensely to build students Congress and youth Congress at the national level.

Dr Deviprasad Shetty is in active politics for the past 25 years. He is the beginner of rural development and was president of Belapu gram panchayat for eight long years. In addition, he was the president of Belapu co-operative bank for six years. He has also held the position of director of South Canara District Central Co-Operative Bank Ltd (SCDCC), district president of the confederation of representatives of Udupi district gram panchayats, state vice-president and vice-president of district Kambala Committee. He has also made substantial contributions in several pro-people movements.

    BELAPU grama one of the best grama panchayat in the country ,it is only due to Dr.Deviprasads contributions, Karnataka Govt is already planned a modern science centre and Ayurveda medicine research centre in Belapu.

    DEVI PRASAD SHETTY must get ticket in next assembly election from kaup. Vinaya kumar sorake can be replaced somewhere. Vinaya kumar sorake looks like having soft corner for bjp here. He never spoaken single word criticising any sanghi anti social act. We expect the MLA should be socially responsive well rather than providing just drinking water or panchayat roads.

    I had great hope for Billavas.Thry are major community in erstwhile dk dist and politically affluent.Without Billava support no party can win here.Having said that ,though I am not a follower of Sri Janardhana Poojary ,I was totally dismayed at seeing him weeping in the dias two days back for Mr.Ramansth Rai used foul language against him.Evrn now when I remember that event feel very sorry because no Billava mighty organisation came to his help.So sorry to see the pathetic situation and insensitive Billavas towards a great person that too a elderly citizen who made Mangalore Dasara a land mark event of the coast.I appeal Billavas to react in support of the legend by strong protest of his humiliation.As said by Mr.Harikridhna ,if you can't do that no issue in simply living a humiliated life.
    No.point in getting political power if you do not safe guard interest of a person like Sri Poojary.
    My sympathies with Sri Poojary and may good god give him happy long life.
