Mangaluru, Dec 28: District in-charge minister Ramanath Rai not only gave credit to Muslim community for winning in Bantwal constituency for six times but also gave a statement that he is not able to repay the debt of Muslim community for several generations.

Rai has become a target of some Hindu community members with his statement after it went viral in social media.

Karnataka Beary Academy held Beary Cultural Festival in Town Hall, Mangaluru on December 26. Minister Ramanath Rai said in his speech during this function that Muslim community is responsible for him to win six times with the mercy of Allah.

“If the Muslim community had supported only the candidate of their community, I would have been a former MLA by now. The community has elected me to Vidhana Sabha without considering religious boundaries. Several people have spread propaganda against me but I am happy with that propaganda. Nobody says that I am helping only Bunts and that I am pro-religion. Nobody says that I am a fanatic either. There is an allegation that I love minorities. But I do not accept that allegation,” Rai said in his speech.

The statement has gone viral in social and some Hindu WhatsApp groups. Some Hindu community members have said that the minister has forgotten the votes cast by them and he has praised only Muslim community.

Mr.Ramanath Rai should be careful in choosing his words. In a diverse ration when we believe in 'We' in the constitution one community should not appeased or singled out.

He has struck axe to his own feet. Such senior leader should be wise in making comment. He should withdraw his statement and better try to win the hearts of every citizen of his constituency.

The Congress has given one more weapon to the BJP. In the coming days they will utilize this statement with more 'Masala' just like Pakistan issue in the last phase of election used by BJP.

Don't take judgement by just news that is spreading,see video that has been spread on social media and he never said only Muslim vote has made him 6 time winner.He said only due to secular jatytita vision of Muslim has voted him when a candidate from their own religion has also stand in opponent to him. In 2009 MP election, there was no strong candidate in BJP to contest against Janardhan Poojary. BJP made Nalin Kumar kateel as " Bali ka Bakra" & gave him ticket. On the result day, both BJP & Kateel shocked to see the result.

After nearly a month, Kateel in a public program told that he became MP only because of Ramanath Rai & Abhaychandra!!!!!!!!!

Rai was at a function held by Karnataka Beary Academy Cultural Festival and it was the right occasion for him to reciprocate his gratitude towards that community, what's wrong in that?. This is the main characteristic of a true Hindu being tolerant and accommodating. Blind Bhakts will be blind in thier thinking too forever and just do chaddi dance without any rhyme or reason.

Indians love to live in harmony, all together - Hindus, Muslims and Christians. Nobody will listen to you, they will vote for whom they want, especially after recent Hindutva enforcement on common people. That is the reason MLS Rai said where his electors come from - he is being honest about it.

There are many among the masses who leave their religion behind and mingle with friends, colleagues, employees as human beings. You may be hearing this for the first time that a intelligent businessman in India has staff from all communities so that his clients will be entertained comfortably by their own community men. This the truth and reality.

If BJP will divide this bond by imposing Hindutva, the result will be bitter.
