I am not clear on the smart city template and the road map with time lines to reach the intended Goals.

This looks like a re-painting of the old wall....with a tag of smart city added to it.

Anyways ..hopefully things are going to be better in the future...and will be able to see the city we all desire it to be.

What you need to focus on the basic requirements not only on the clock tower. You need to solve
Water scarcity in the summer- Freshwater from sea water plant can be developed we have plenty sources. Electricity shortage, Drainage & Storm water systems, Good roads and access. Waste treatment plants, Pollution control methods. Modern traffic control methods. city buses are ramping in the city like Kadri Kamabla..........There are plenty things to think first we need to get out of nut shell.............WiFi everyone has, CC camera we have installed but where is the system to monitor & maintain??? where does the purpose goes?

This is a big open scam... 4.8 crore for 22 bus shelters! Does it mean each shelter costs 22 lakhs??
People build homes (1bhk) in 22 lakhs and bus shelters do not even have a proper seat leave alone luxuries like air-conditioning, drinking water or toilets.
Mangaloreans are already smart... We don't need corruption to make our city smart.

appreciate you don't talk big big stuffs... talk practicality ... we are ok not to have a high end clock tower, smart dividers, smart bus stands.... but please ensure little bit path way, proper drainage, normal manhole less, completed bridges and fly overs... that's enough and the need. Please stop talking all those big stuffs. Please all of you focus on Pumpwell , Nanthoor and Thokkottu junctions and complete it. We will be more than happy.

.....they are behind Clock tower spending a Crore rupees!!..first improve basic infrastucture, provide proper road, put power cable & gas under ground, improve water storage & supply network..unless these basic work not done nothing will work.Once upon a time Singapore was sea pirate den , then Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, took charge of the country , his first work was improving Basic infrastructure to International standard and rest automatically followed, Singapore described as transitioning from the "third world to first world in a single generation" under his leadership..and we are still struggling..our work limited to laying, next digging, laying next day digging..

What is the point of building a Smart City when people living there have lost their smartness which once they possessed and now turned fully communal with hatred imbibed in their blood??? Do you think any country or a city which has communal instinct imbibed within will boom?

Its a waste thinking to turn Mangalore as Smart City, better to look forward any other city where people from all corner of India and the globe and from all Religion can come and happily stay peaceful working hand in hand..... I doubt it wont be a reality anywhere in India until we have communal Governments and Organizations ruling the country and places.

    Mahendra, Mumbai,

Don't be a beggar...u are educated and don't keep begging for 15 lakh..He meant to say that if all black money is recovered.... then per head it will be 15 lakh for each of india's population.. Do u knw any of the economy who pays hard cash into anyone ??.!!!! Don't act like an illiterate... Even the poorer section of soceity have understood wht Modi told and hence...they gave 15 MORE STATES.... to MODI.....U people can only keep barking coz ur pseudo secular Congress has become oblivion..!!! Even God cannot save COng in Karnataka.. in 2018.

Try n read between the lines what Indian population did to this country's political presence.

67% of Indians now live in a state controlled by the BJP. That is two-thirds of the country, and a much larger figure than the 45% of India's population under Congress rule when it controlled 18 states back in 1993.

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND GOD BLESS KARNATAKA....
