Mangaluru, Dec 24: As part of National Health Campaign, Dakshina Kannada district unit of Popular Front of India (PFI) organized a programme, 'Janarogyave Rashtra Shakti (health of masses is power of country)' on Sunday December 24.
The programme began with marathon which started from Jyoti Circle. Thereafter a meeting programme and Yoga demonstration were held in front of the office of the deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district.
PFI state secretary, Abdul Razack Kemmara, flagged off the marathon at Jyoti Ambedkar Circle by handing over flag to Dakshina Kannada district president of PFI, Nawaz Ullal.
At the meeting held in front of the office of the deputy commissioner, introductory address was delivered by state PFI secretary, Abdul Razack Kemmara. Dr Raghavendra, professor of Fr Muller Hospital here, and district secretary, A K Ashraf, gave information about the need to maintain good health. District secretary Abdul Khader Kulai, and Bantwal zonal secretary, Saleem Kumpanamajalu, were present at the dais.
Rafiq Mangaluru and his team presented a programme of Yoga poses. District secretary, Siraj Kavoor, welcomed. Abubakker Putta presented the programme.
