Bengalru, Dec 24: MP, Shobha Karandlaje, challenged chief minister, Sddaramaiah, to arrest her relating to a suo moto case registered agaist her in Honnavar police station by the police personnel, duly charging the MP with posting inflammatory tweet.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday December 23, Karandlaje noted that the police have accused her of posting a tweet that can harm communal harmony. "In my tweet, I never made derisive comment about any religion, nor were the contents of the tweet inflammatory in nature. Therefore, I will not be applying for bail in the case," she clarified.
Shobha said that Love Jihad is active in the state and rape of girls and murder of Hindu youth have been going on incessantly. She charged the government and senior government officers of extending active support to Popular Front of India, Karnataka Forum for Dignity and SDPI.
The MP said that Siddaramaiah has now been engaged in breaking Veerashaiva and Lingayat unity in the name of creating new religion. She noted that ministers, M B Patil and Vinay Kulkarni have been issuing anti social statements. She predicted that the Congress, which has been planning to destroy religion, will itself get decimated. She accused Siddarmaiah of insulting Veerashaiva Mahasaba and the community as a whole. She clarified that her party is committed to the resolution passed by Veerashaiva Mahasabha and that BJP will follow the instructions of Siddaganga Swamiji.
