Dharwad, Dec 20: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader, Raghunandan, who is the 'Prajna Pravaha' south central zone convener, advised Hindu activists against wielding any weapons and instead, to handle only flags with their hands. He reminded them that police are in charge of security and protecting the populace and that they have been doing their job satisfactorily. He also called upon them to repose faith in police personnel, soldiers, and law. He said that as long as police are doing their work, Hindu activists can have only flags in their hands. "If not, they would have been compelled to handle swords," he noted.
He was addressing a protest meet organized under the aegis of Hindu Hitarakshana Samiti at Hubballi on Tuesday December 19. The protest was aimed against murders of Hindu workers in the state. Raghunandan went on to add that Hindu workers have not picked stones in their hands as police have batons in their hands to protect people. He warned that people might lose faith in the police if the police personnel blindly obey the diktats of Congress government, which is following anti-Hindu policies.
Raghunandan urged Hindus to make best use of voting power and legal means to fight attempts being made to crush Hindu and nationalist forces. He warned that if murders of Hindu activists does not stop, Hindus may be compelled to use force as the last resort. He charged AIDSO and SFI of furthering naxalism in the name of students movement.
MP, Prahlad Joshi, speaking on the occasion, accused 'Mullah Siddaramaiah' government of doing things to earn support from Muslims and accused the state government of unleashing violence against patriotic citizens and shielding anti national forces. He said that Popular Front of India and Karnataka Forum for Dignity cadres have been buoyed by the withdrawal of cases registered against them and that they are ready to murder anyone.
Branding western range inspector general of police, Hamant Nimbalkar, as a crony of Siddaramaiah, he accused the police officer of hoisting cases against Hindu workers in Sirsi under section 307 of Indian Penal Code.
On this occasion, a memorandum was sent to the governor of the state through the tahsildar, demanding to place ban on Popular Front of India, Social Democratic Party of India and to order probe into the murders of pro-Hindu activists in the state.
