Bengaluru, Dec 19 (The New Indian Express): BJP leader Ramakrishnappa Monday allegedly assaulted the headmistress of a school within the school premises in Singanayakanahalli in North Bengaluru in connection with a financial dispute.
The entire incident has been captured in a CCTV camera installed on the premises.
According to police, the incident took place on Monday when Ramakrishnappa, angry over not paying the interest amount owed to him by the school, assaulted the headmistress Asha.
He is also seen hitting the lady with a rope.
Asha was working in a private kindergarten school. She had taken a loan of Rs 70,000 from him, the police said.
The accused BJP leader is the father of Janardhan, the president of BJP yuva morcha in Yelahanka. He is also known to be a close associate of Yelahanka MLA Vishwanath. He is currently absconding as the Rajanakunte police are on the lookout for him.
According to sources, the police have detained his son Janardhan for questioning.
