Bengaluru, Dec 19: The organizer of New Year's Eve event ‘Sunny Nights’, in which Bollywood actress Sunny Leone is scheduled to perform, has moved to High Court after the state government and city police denied permission for the event.
Harish M S, MD, Times Creation, the ad agency hosting the show, has requested the court to allow the event scheduled to be held at White Orchid Hotel at Nagavara.
Harish in his petition requested the court to order the police to allow the event and provide adequate security to avoid untoward incidents.

Speaking to the media, Harish said that his attempts to meet Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy requesting to reconsider his decision were futile. He has now approached the High Court as the preparations for the event are almost done.
The state government and city police had refused permission citing security reasons. A few days back, pro Kannada groups had organised protests and threatened mass suicide and said Sunny Leone’s performance in Bengaluru would be an “assault” on Kannada culture.
The High Court may hear Harish’s petition in a couple of days.
