Mangaluru, Dec 19: A false news item claiming that former chief minister of Karnataka and state BJP chief, B S Yeddyurappa, had suffered heart attack and was hospitalized, had become viral since Monday December 18 evening. This news spread far and wide over social websites including WhatsApp.
It is said that Yeddyurappa has been tired of clarifying to his worried fans and well-wishers that he is hale and healthy.

When media persons questioned Yeddyurappa on Tuesday about this news item, he told them to find for themselves that he is fit and fine.
A false news generated by someone saying that Yeddyurappa, who was watching election results of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh on television, had suddenly collapsed due to heart attack and that he had been hospitalized immediately, had caused flutters. The news item appeared along with photo of Yeddyurappa being cared for by medicos.
