Mangaluru, Dec 18: Bishop of Mangaluru Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza on Monday December 18 laid the foundation stone for Father Muller Health Centre near St John Paul Memorial Church at Bajpe here.
The centre, aimed at catering to the healthcare needs of the locals, is being built on 50 cents of land donated by Salvadore family. The centre once completed will measure 10,000 sq ft.
Addressing the gathering, the bishop said, "The construction of the centre will be completed in six months and will start functioning before May 2018. The hospital will provide medical treatment and conduct tests for all ailments. Expert doctors from Father Muller Hospital will be available for service here," he said. He thanked all those who helped in the project.
Father Muller hospital director Fr Richard Coelho welcomed. Father Muller hospital administrators Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, Fr Vincent Saldanha, Fr Roshan Crasta, Fr Ajith Menezes, Bajpe parish priest Fr Leo Lobo, MCC Bank president Francis Cutinho, Dr Sanjeeva Rai, Dr Kiran and others were present.
