Bengaluru, Dec 16: Even after handing over the 'Paresh Mesta death case' to the Crime Bureau of Investigation (CBI) by the state government, opposition party BJP wants to keep this issue in focus for its political gains, says the report submitted by the state intelligence to the government.
State intelligence has confirmed the BJP’s role in communal violence that took place in Honnavar after the death of Paresh Mesta.
It has come to light that the Honnavar police have registered an First Information Report of murder in the death case of Mesta, even before the detailed report of the post-mortem was available.
Honnavar police have registered a case of murder of Paresh Mesta (18) under IPC section 302, 143, 147, 148 and 201 on the basis of the complaint filed by Kamalakar Mesta, father of the deceased on December 8. This fact is mentioned in the report that is submitted by the intelligence.
It may be recalled that BJP has already planned a huge protest on December 18 at Honnavar under the leadership of Jagadish Shettar and Eshwarappa, leaders of opposition, condemning the killing of Paresh Mesta.
