Doha, Dec 13: Dr Arathi Krishna, deputy chairman of NRI Forum Karnataka will visit Qatar on Decemeber 16 as part of her Gulf tour.

Karnataka based ICC affiliated associations namely, Karnataka Sangha Qatar, Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association, Tulukoota Qatar, Mangalore Cricket Club, South Kanara Muslim Welfare Association and Bunts Qatar have organised an event on December 17 at 5.30 pm at Indian Cultural Center Ashoka Hall.

While she is the special guest of honour, Indian Ambassodor P Kumaran and ICC president Milan Arun will grace the occasion as chief guest and guest of honour respectively. During the occasion, Dr Arathi Krishna will provide inputs on the measures Karnataka NRI Forum has proposed and is implementing soon. There will also be an interactive session with the gathered Kannadigas at the open forum.

Those with queries on personal or general difficulties faced by NRIs in Karnataka or at their place of residence in various fields can also be reported with a request for a suitable solution. While registering, organizers will provide a format to the members for any queries and the same will be read out by the organizers representatives during the interactive session. Those who wish to send in their questions may do so in advance to their respective presidents or committee members. Dr Arathi Krishna will reply to these queries suitably. She will also discuss the idea of forming a welfare trust for non-resident Kannadigaas and an NRI fund.

Presidents of all the Karnataka associations have requested the public to attend the event in large numbers.
