Mumbai, Dec 11: St Paul's Catholic Association which has been serving in Fort Lion gate here for the last 75 years celebrated its founders day at St Paul's auditorium on Sunday December 10. Retired senior officer of the department of income tax, Valerian D'Sa set the celebrations in motion and unveiled the front page of the souvenir.
Mazgaon Dock Limited Company assistant general manager Alphonso Mascarenhas, entrepreneur Steven D'Mello, Denis Cardoza, renowned poet and author V D' Silva, Kanjurmarg and senior member of the association Thomas Noronha were present as guests of honour.
Sabina D'Mello, Eliza Martis together with president Stany Fernandes and office bearers lit the lamp, presented prizes to winners and wished them well.
A thanksgiving mass was held at Colaba Woodhouse Holy name cathedral. The mass was offered in Konkani by Fr Richard D' Saouza, Trasi.
Honorary treasurer Michael Lobo, joint secretary Antony Nazareth and joint treasurer Sunil Tauro were on the dais. President Stany Fernandes presented flower bouquets to senior members and honored them. Vivian Machado compered the programme. Vice president Prasad Nazareth proposed the vote of thanks. Pravin Almeida entertained the gathering as Santa Claus.
