Bahrain: Karnataka Social Club holds Annual Day in grandeur

Bahrain, Nov 25: It was a night to remember for members of Karnataka Social Club-Bahrain as it heldits Annual Day celebrations at the prestigious venue of Crowne Plaza formerly knowas Holiday Inn.

Incidentally, it was exactly 20 years back that the club celebrated its silver jubilee celebrations at this venue. For most members it brought back memories when this premier event was held as an annual event.

The evening took off with the Reunion Band playing some old time favourites at the start. A stage programme entitled ‘KSC’s Got Talent’, ensured that the 250 plus audience were treated to a power-packed dance performance for over 30 minutes.

All members of the executive committee joined hands in cutting the cake to show their camaraderie and unity. In his inaugural address, president Sunil D’Souza thanked all for the support and said that he expected the same for the rest of his tenure.

The vote of thanks was rendered by general secretary Vinay Sequeira and in his message he thanked all the well-wishers who made the event a grand success.

Several senior members of the club were presented with a memento recognizing their efforts and unstinting support over the years. Following this, the Reunion Band had the members rocking the floor as they played music ranging from Cha Cha Cha to a medley of Jive.

The members were then treated to a grand buffet and the event wound up in the wee hours of the morning with the members thankful for an enjoyable weekend.
