Mumbai, Jun 24: The annual general body meeting of Karnataka Sangh of metro was held on Sunday June 22 afternoon, at 'Samarasa Bhavan' mini auditorium of Karnataka Sangh located at Matunga (West) which was chaired by Sangh president Manohar M Kori.
Speaking on the occasion, Kori said, 'the Sangh has emerged as a cultural centre in the metro. The members will have to work diligently for the Sangh, which will be on the threshold of celebrating its platinum jubilee next year. Every member should contribute for the growth ofthe Sangh with ardent love for Karnataka. Sangh stands committed to the dignity of every Kannadiga.'
Vice president Dr G D Joshi, executive committee members and cultural division conveners Eshwar Alevoor and S T Vijaykumar Tingalaya, women division convener Susheela S Devadiga, youth division convener Pushparaj V Rai, library and education committee convener Balakrishna Nidwannaya and legal advisor R S Devadiga were present on the dais.
Srinivas Jokatte, editor and publisher of 'Sneha Sambandha' monthly journal of Karnataka Sangh and honorary secretary, welcomed the gathering. Library convener Vivek S Shanbagh presented the annual report. Honorary treasurer M D Rao presented annual accounts.
Literary India convener and honorary joint secretary Omdas Kannangar proposed vote of thanks.
