Jubail : India Social Forum Karnataka conducts free medical check-up camp

Jubail, Oct 29: The city's branch of Indian Social Forum (ISF) Karnataka chapter organised a free medical check up on October 27 at JAL International camp here in association with Shifa Al Jubail medical Center.

Addressing the inaugural function Indian Social Forum branch general secretary Irshad Bajpe mentioned the milestones achieved by the forum in the past years. ISF was successful in handling more than 200 cases with the help of the Indian Embassy related to accidents, jail rescue, labour issues, death cases and collection of blood units. It has extended its support to the Indian Embassy during Emnesty programme by providing volunteers and many more awareness campaigns have been conducted so far.



Social Forum Jubail president Shamir welcomed the guests, camp faculty-in charge Raghuttham Reddy, Shifa Al Jubail general physician Dr Zaheer Ahmed, Indian Social Forum vice president Ibrahim, camp coordinator Jamal were present during the inaugural function. This was later followed by the medical check up.

Around 150 camp members benefited by the programme.

The camp ended with the vote of thanks by the council member Anees Haleyangadi.
