Mumbai, Sep 25: Charkop Kannadigara Balaga on Sunday September 24 celebrated its eighteenth anniversary presided over by its president Manjunath G Bannur at Haryana Bhavan, Kandivli west.

Guests, social workers Indrali Diwaker Shetty, Nithyananda D Kotian, Manohar N Shetty, Sadananda Kotian and Ramanna B Devadiga, women's wing president Padmavathi Bhasker Shetty, advisor Thonse Vijaya Kumar Shetty, advocate B Ameen, Ramesh Shetty Payyar who were on the dais lit the traditional lamp and set the programme in motion.

Several awards for arts and other services were presented on the occasion. Religious rituals were also held.

Honorary chief secretary Raghunath N Shetty welcomed and introduced the guests. Harish Chevar, cultural committee convener Chandrashekar S Shetty, secretary Tanuja M Bhat introduced the felicities and and congratulated them. Joint secretary Vijaya D Poojary compered the hall programme. Moodubelle Krishna N Shetty proposed the vote of thanks. Members of Balaga, women and children presented the cultural programme.
