San Francisco, Sep 20 (IANS): Global tech major Hitachi Ltd on Wednesday launched a new company Hitachi Vantara to deliver data-driven solutions for commercial and industrial enterprises.
Headquartered at Santa Clara, California, Hitachi Vantara will unify the operations of Hitachi Data Systems, Hitachi Insight Group and Pentaho into a single integrated business.
"We are unifying our strongest digital solutions companies together as a new Hitachi company that delivers exponential business impact for our customers and the betterment of society," said Toshiaki Higashihara, President and CEO, Hitachi Ltd.
Hitachi Vantara aims to help customers and drive business forward by bringing new data-driven solutions and services to market.
Targeting the emerging Internet of Things (IoT) market, the company will provide infrastructure and analytics technologies for their data centres.
Hitachi also announced the release of its IoT platform "Lumada 2.0" which has been updated with enhanced Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and advanced analytics capabilities.
