Mumbai: Model Cooperative Bank holds 100th annual meeting

Mumbai, Sep 18: Model Cooperative Bank, started earlier by Karnataka coastal origin Christian community as The Mangalorean Catholic Cooperative Credit Society and later changed to Model Bank held their 100th annual meeting at St Xavier's Engineering College auditorium here on Saturday September 16.

Albert W D'Souza, executive president of the bank said that the bank has made progress both in loans and deposits and has earned a net profit of Rs 8.25 crore during the year. He announced a dividend of 10% to the shareholders of the bank.



Dr Barthol Baretto, bishop of Mumbai led the thanksgiving mass prior to the meeting and blessed everyone. John G Mendonca was the co-celebrant. Keneth Sequeira and group sang hymns. Albert presented a flower bouquet to the bishop and founder president John D'Silva and honored them.

General managers and managers, former directors, senior officials, branch managers. Shareholders and well wishers were present.

General manager and CEO William L D'Souza gave a summary of the decisions taken in the meeting. Edward Rasquinha compered the hall programme. William Sequeira proposed vote of thanks.

    Good coverage of the news of Model co-op. Bank Ltd. Congratulations and thanks very much. Mr, John Mendonca was not a co-celebrant. He was eucharist minister.
