'Ashem Zalem Kashem’ launches in Dubai with ticket release

Dubai, Sep 3: The first ever bilingual movie in Konkani-Tulu cinema, 'Ashem Zalem Kashem - Incha Aanda Yencha', a super hit film by Glorious Angelore Productions', was, on Saturday September 2, launched successfully with a ticket release programme in Dubai at Banquet Hall of Winny’s Restaurant, Karama, here.

Tickets were released by Fr Lasrado, Sarvotham Shetty and the other guests on stage.  

The much awaited film ‘Ashem Zalem Kashem - Incha Aanda Yencha’, will premier in Dubai on Friday, September 22, at Galleria Cinemas with  shows at 10 am and 4 pm.

Producer Shodhan Prasad of Sandhya Creations Overseas Movies welcomed the guests and spoke on the current trend of Konkani movies, which he said were reaching on a par with other regional movies.  

He invited on stage chief guest Fr Robert Lasrado of St Mary’s Church Dubai, producer and director Maxim Pereira, singer, actor and entrepreneur Joseph Mathias, president of Karnataka Sangha Abu Dhabi Sarvotham Shetty, patron of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah Mark Denis, and Ashem Zalem Kashem actor Jennifer D’Souza, and gave them a floral welcome.

Comedy star Deepak Paladka who has acted in various Tulu, Konkani and Kannada movies, and actor-director Pradeep Barboza of ‘Ek Aslyar El Na’ fame who also has a Kannada movie to his credit, were present.

All guests lit the traditional lamp and inaugurated the programme. Fr Robert Lasrado prayed over the gathering and for the success of the movie. "It is nice to support our mother tongue Konkani. Everybody should be a part of this," he said.  

Sarvotham Shetty added humour to the programme and assured his whole hearted support to the venture.  He said, "It is nice to have a Konkani movie with Tulu artistes and Tulu dialogues." He shared lighter moments of his experience of watching another Konkani movie.  He also requested the audience to forward and make the movie a housefull wherever it was released. He came forward and bought tickets for the Abu Dhabi show, followed by Mark Denis who bought tickets for Sharjah, and Veronica Alva who bought Dubai tickets.  

Later, all the movie lovers assembled came forward and grabbed more tickets assuring a housefull show.

The programme was attended by leaders of various associations, and well-wishers.

Joseph Mathias conducted the vote of thanks and humbly thanked each and every one in the audience for their support and guidance.  He also appreciated the quick response of all those who gathered on a short notice.

Shodhan Prasad requested all the Konkani and Tulu movie lovers to support and come in large numbers and show their solidarity in saving the mother tongue by doing so.

The programme ended with light refreshments.
