Mangaluru: Bhojaraj Vamanjoor to play seven characters in Tulu film ‘Umil’

Mangaluru, Aug 26: In what will be a record of sorts in Coastalwood cinema, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor will play seven different characters in the much-awaited Tulu film ‘Umil’. Bhojaraj, who is known for his rib-tickling acts, will now be seen in something unique.

The well-known artiste has been very busy in drama, films and Yakshagana from the past few years. Bhojaraj will be part of this new experiment in Coastalwood, where he will be playing seven characters to entertain the audience.

According to director Ranjith Suvarna, Bhojaraj’s role in the film is its biggest highlight. The laughter-riot, loaded with graphics will be one of the high budget films in Coastalwood.

There are four songs in the film. Rishal Sai will compose the music for the songs. Well-known Sandalwood music director Ravi Basrur will compose the background music for the film.

Karunakar Shetty and Prajnesh Shetty will produce the film. Umesh Mijar will play the lead for the first time. Pooja Shetty will be one of the lead actresses, while another heroine is yet to be finalised. Naveen D Padil, Aravind Bolar, Chethan Rai Mani, Sathish Bandale, and Deepak Rai will be seen in prominent roles.

The Mahurat of the film will be held at Kavoor Mahalingeshwara Temple on September 3. ‘Umil’ will be shot in a 30-day schedule. The makers of the film aim to wrap up the shooting within the first week of October.
