Udupi, Aug 16: Much-awaited short film ‘Anthamma’ and Kannada album song ‘Sweet Beeda’, from the banner Future Stars Creations, was simultaneously released at Hotel Udupi Residency here on Tuesday, August 15.
The album song ‘Sweet Beeda’ was screened here on the occasion. Short film ‘Anthamma’ has been already released in Mangaluru to a good response.
National award recipient film director and executive director of Disha Communications Prakash Suvarna Katpady who inaugurated the event said, “Youth should use social networking sites for good purposes. They get an opportunity to exhibit their talents through social media. Media supports these types of events which is a good sign. We need to work with dedication to achieve success.”
“Disha Communications has already released 7-8 short films based on social awareness concepts. It has also bagged the UNICEF Prasar Bharathi award,” he added.
Prakash Suvarna further announced that 'Anthamma' has been selected for 'Karavali Kiru Chitrotsava - 2017', hosted by Disha Communications.
Thenkanidiyoor gram panchayat member Venkatesh Kulal, Rajesh Jattan, Asif Laxmindranagar, Shivaprasad and other crew members were present.

About ‘Anthamma’, ‘Sweet Beeda’
Antamma is a 45-minute short film directed by Asif. He has also written the story. Rohith Udupi, besides acting in the lead has written the dialogues and screenplay along with Asif. Kamal has done some extraordinary work with the camera. R K Media has presented an excellent short film.
The same team has produced ‘Sweet Beeda’, the Kannada album song.
Roopa Mascarenhas has played the leading role in the video of the album song. Rahul Vasistha has composed the music. Karthik Kadekar, Rajesh Jattanna and Jafer Sab Hubballi have helped in production.
