Kasargod, Jul 15: Police have since issued lookout notice for Athira (23) from Karippody Kaniyambady in Uduma, who had left home without information purportedly for studying Islam. It is suspected that Athira has got converted into Islam.

The girl had left home on Monday July 10 morning,  telling her family members that she was visiting a hospital. As she did not return, the family had complained to Bekal police. During verification, a letter left behind by the girl was found in which she said she wanted to become a Muslim, study Islam, and then return to her home. She also had advised her family to turn to Islam after she returned home.

Bekal police searched for the lady at various places and then served lookout notice as they failed to find her whreabouts. Police have asked people having any information about the lady to share the same with them. As they got the clue that the girl was taken towards Mysuru, they have extended investigation there.

There is suspicion that a well-planned conspiracy to convert Athira to Islam was going on since long. It is surmised that some girls who were acting like her close friends would have played a role in this conversion. Since sometime, Athira was seen studying Islam and there is apprehension that she was attracted towards Islam by enacting a drama of love.

In the recent past, a lady from here was about to join ISIS due to the efforts of a gang but the parents intervened at the right time to foil this bid.

Well the girl was educated, but why did she fail to tell her parents about her wish and tell the truth? Why must all of a sudden disappear ,and make parents frustrated?Because they might dont allow ,?Here was a plan planned by third, to bring in the girl in their hands.Hope she might return back safe, whatever the religion she joins or not ,.But the hope dies last. When one is not steady in ones own religion ,this is the fatal result.Study the other religion, when one wants ,but varify ,be steady in one, dont force others to change their religion.Where are these people who were speaking so much of conversion? Why dont they look into this matter now?
