More lynching incidents in past than under BJP government: Amit Shah

Panaji, Jul 2 (PTI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah has said that more incidents of lynching had occurred during the previous governments than during the three years of NDA rule, but no one had raised questions then.

"I do not want to compare and undermine the current incidents of lynching. I am also serious about it. But there have been more lynching incidents in 2011, 2012 and 2013," Shah told a gathering of professionals in Goa last evening.

"There have been more lynchings each year in the past, compared to the total lynching incidents that have happened during our three-year-long tenure," the BJP leader said. The BJP-led government came to power at the Centre in May 2014.

Responding to a question about fears over the lynching incidents, he said there was no apprehension anywhere in the country.

"Do you know of any such incident where arrests have not been made? I do not have any answer to apprehensions. There is no apprehension anywhere in the country," he said. Maintaining that law and order was a state subject, Shah said when Mohammad Akhlaq died, the Samajwadi Party-led government was in power in Uttar Pradesh, and it was its responsibility.

"But protests are held in Delhi in front of the Narendra Modi government. What is this fashion," he asked.

In September 2015, Akhlaq was dragged out of his house and killed by a mob at Dadri in UP on suspicion of storing and consuming beef.

Following several such lynching incidents, including those in Jharkhand, Haryana and UP, protests were held late last month at several cities across the country.

Not only Lynching has become a daily affair in BJP ruled states ..these rogues have started pinching what little is left in our pockets. Forget the 15 La promised. They do not even allow us to eat what we want.
Sadly the masses have become asses and following their leaders in blind stupor.

The fall of such proud people will be great and permanent.
They have usurped power in 6 States and want to wipe away the Congress and all oppositions.
But they still blame the Congress for their own grave and heinous crimes against the Poor Minorities.

Their diversionary tactics are now more clearly visible and only Agenda is the Temple & Hindutva.
But yet we hope better sense prevails on the P.M. at this late stage and he directs the Home Ministry which is in his control to issue the directions to the respective BJP States which are also in his control.

India now ranks so low that the H. R. is daily lowering its ranks as we have become LYNCHISTAN.

Believe whomsoever you want to believe.

According to India Spend report, of the cow related lynching, from 2010 to 2017, 86% are Muslims. Of the cow related lynching during this period, 97% is after 2014.

Politicians can give any statement. Even though they know that it was false, they give statements without any statistics. Tragedy is, a section of people believe whatever these politicians utter.

Mr. Shah. The people were fed up with the Congress government, so your party was elected and hence you got a chance to govern. Your job is to ensure that the law and order is maintained and whenever it is breached by anyone, those persons should be brought to justice. You cannot wash your hands by comparing the figures. This is tantamount to dodging the people. You are in a position of authority and strength. If you want, it is not at all difficult to apprehend the culprits. Go after them and arrest them. Stop giving these useless bhashans.
