Mangaluru: Harikrishna Bantwal demands Ramanath Rai's expulsion for 'abusing' Poojary

Mangaluru, Jun 28: Former Congressman and activist Harikrishna Bantwal on Wednesday June 28 demanded the expulsion of district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai both from the ministry as well from Congress for allegedly abusing senior party leader Janardhan Poojary and others.

Addressing a press meet here, Harikrishna Bantwal recalled the incident and said, "On February 6 this year in a wedding party at Buntara Bhavana in Suratkal, Ramanath Rai abused former district Youth Congress president Arun Coelho and former state secretary of Youth Congress Tejaswini Raj. He also referred to Janardhan Poojary in vulgar words, and challenged them as well as Poojary using abusive language.

"Even after this incident, Rai threatened the youth leaders several times for being close to Poojary. Kallige Taranath Shetty was also threatened by Rai for the same reason. Ramanath Rai is behaving like a mafia leader of the Congress party. Many have become the target of his insults. Hence I request the state leadership to expel Rai from all posts in the Congress and the ministry," he urged.

"It is condemnable that Rai used abusive language against Poojary. He insulted not only Poojary but the culture of Tulunadu. He has forgotten the good things Poojary has done for him. Rai is a betrayer. He is trying to divide Bunts and Billavas. He cannot bear to see the two communities on one stage. At the time of communal disturbances also, he was following the same theory. He does not want harmony in the district. For votes and money he is engaged in disturbing communal harmony. The latest video clip which was leaked by his men is the best example for this," he added.

"Janardhan Poojary is attacking Siddaramaiah only in the interest of Congress. Everyone has the right to criticise on facts. Being a minister Rai does not have the guts to criticise Yeddyurappa or other BJP leaders. He is doing politics for power and money," he alleged.

    With all respect some truth..This Harikrishna Bantwal was in Jana Sangha. and BJP along with AK Subbaiah he left the party and Joined Congress.and he never fought any Election , He was with Janardhan Poojary all his good times and taken advantage and got job to his wife in NMPT..later on he was the spoke person of Janardha Poojary and hIs leadership DCC...good speaker,,
    Last MLC election He was a aspirant for Congress ticket...with all struggle he did not get the ticket...For Mr Harikrishna Bantwal Only Ramanath Rai recamonded for MLC seat repeat Only Ramanth Rai tried his level best to secure Congress ticket even same Harikrishna Bantwal informed in press conference while criticizing Oscar Fernandez in Mangalore reason for denying ticket.Even Mr Rai was upset with G Parameshwar for denying seat to Mr Bantwal.......
    We must Thankful always who helped us or tried to help......In Politics no enemy no Friendship...

    the incident taken place in Feb 2017 and Harikrishna Bantwal is calling press meet today. Even if you call 100 press meets , you will not get the MLC ticket. Dont forget that because of your betrayal Rai lost in the year 2008 to Nagaraj Shetty . Now better you and Jannanna go to hotel TajMahal and have a becha beccha golibaje.

    Still this joker not joined BJP yet? Mr. Rai abused Poojary in the month of February and how come Harikrishna wakeup now, after 5 months??? What is the credibility of Poojary in the Congress? The person cannot win a single election after contesting 5 times. Who has given the right to Poojary to criticise Mr. Siddaramiah who have brought the victory for Congress in 2013 assembly election. Harikrishna can join Yeddi's cheddi party at any time.

    I think readers should collect money and provide funds for Mr. Poojary to go on a world tour for at least 5 years. Everybody is fed up of his kiri kiri here. Earlier the bhakts used to rejoice at his outbursts against Sidduji and the government, but these days they too have realised that it is a waste of time listening to this grumpy old man.

    Haven't you learned till now Poojary has not eaten ur tax paid money like others,nor has he taken commission from anyone,sweets etc,didn't u hear from his own party people he doesn't drink a sip of water if he visits anyone's house,that's what reputation he has gained,what will he expect from u people .....

    Poojari is a closed story. He should rest now and relax at home. Being in politics he did nothing other than some stupid things. Qualified and energetic youth wake up and through these unwanted elements out. Politics now should be replaced with statesman and gentleman.
