Kundapur, Jun 20: A boy who was playing in the courtyard of his house on Monday June 19 was bitten by a poisonous snake. His parents brought the boy to the hospital along with the snake which sank its fangs into his body.
Dhanush (3), son of Umesh Mesta and Deepa couple from Shirur near Byndoor was playing near his home when a snake, which is known in local parlance as 'Taudapalka', bit him. The parents immediately caught hold of the offending snake and brought it to the government hospital along with the snake. They wanted to show the snake to the hospital staff to facilitate them to understand which snake had bitten the child.
The hospital staff began to treat the boy immediately, and he is recovering. Chief medical officer of the hospital, Dr Udayashankar, said that the child has been extended medical care in tune with his requirement.
