Mumbai, Jun 19: Havyaka Welfare trust with the cooperation of Karnataka Malla Kannada daily newspaper held a programme at Havyakara auditorium, Ghatkoper west on Sunday morning June 18 to give away Karki Venkataramana Shastri Soori award 2017.

Havyaka Welfare trust president Shivakumar P Bhagwath presided over the programme. S M Krishna Rao, senior author, journalist Srinivas Jokatte, veteran poet and vice president of the trust, Sanjay Bhat, honorary chief secretary Narayana R Akadas, honorary treasurer A G Bhat together handed over Karki Venkatramana Shastri Soori award 2017 to senior author and journalist L S Shastri and congratulated him.



Neha Hegde presented Bharatanatyam and J G Creations Balesara Vinayaka and group presented variety entertainment.

Kavya Ashwin Hegde sang a prayer song. Award committee convener Tanuja Hegde welcomed everyone. Working committee member Chidananda Bhagwat read the complementary messages. Poornima Akadasa read the letter of felicitation. Drama director and actor S Daya introduced the guests. Havyaka Sandesh Mandali member and Shashikala Hegde compered the programme. Mahesh Hegde proposed the vote of thanks.
